Pré-Sal Petróleo's Board of Directors

  • Marcio Felix Carvalho Bezerra - Chairman of the Board - Ministry of Mining and Energy
  • Executive Secretary, Ministry of Mining and Energy. Bezerra holds a bachelor''s degree in Electronic Engineering from UnB, a graduate degree in Oil Engineering from Petrobras University, and an MBA in Business Management from UFRJ. He has previously served as Secretary for Oil, Natural Gas and Renewable Fuels at the Ministry of Mining and Energy (MME) and as Secretary for Economic Development of the State of Espírito Santo, from 2010 to 2012. During that period he also served as chairman of the boards of directors at the Espírito Santo Development Bank (BANDES), Instituto de Pesos e Medidas do ES (IPEM-ES), the Small Business Agency (ADERES) and the Industry Clusters Bureau (SUPPIN).

  • Natasha Torres Gil Nunes - Ministry of Economy - Deputy Vice Minister of the Government of the Presidency of the Republic
  • Graduated in Law from UFMG and in Public Administration from Fundação João Pinheiro, postgraduate in Business Management from Fundação Dom Cabral and Master of Law from UERJ. A career civil servant at Federal level working as a Planning and Budget Analyst at the Ministry of Economy, having served as adviser and general coordinator of the Federal Government's investments in infrastructure, as chief advisor of regulatory and economic affairs to the former Ministry of Planning and as director at the Special Secretariat for Privatization and Divestment of the current Ministry of Economy. In the state government of Minas Gerais, she held project manager positions in various areas.

  • Marcelo Pacheco dos Guaranys - Office of the Chief of Staff of the Presidency
  • Deputy Secretary for Economic Affairs, Office of the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Finance. Guaranys has a bachelor''s degree in Economics from UNISINOS and a graduate degree in Public and Government Policy from UFRJ. He has previously served as Superintendent of the State Treasury, as General Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Finance, as Head of Administration and Finance at the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), as State Secretary for Planning and Management of Rio Grande do Sul, and as Secretary for Federal Budgeting at the Ministry of Planning, Budgeting and Management. He is a member of the Federal Council for Public Scrutiny at the Fund for Development of Primary Education and Improvement of the Teaching Profession (FUNDEF).

  • Geraldo Julião Júnior - Ministry of Planning, Development and Management
  • Deputy Secretary for Tax Management, Ministry of Planning. Julião Júnior has an undergraduate degree in Economics from UFMG, and a graduate degree in Mathematics for Economics and Administration from UNB. He has previously served as Financial and Commercial Director at the Federal District Environmental Sanitation Company. He has also served in management roles at the
    Office of the Chief of Staff of the Presidency, the Ministry of Education, and the Office of the Attorney General.

  • Jose Eduardo Vinhaes Gerk - President Director of Pré-Sal Petróleo
  • Educated at the Military Engineering Institute (IME - Instituto Militar de Engenharia), with a master''s degree and doctorate in mechanical engineering from COPPE/UFRJ (Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Engineering Research of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and specialization in Petroleum Engineering at Petrobras University, Gerk has 30 years'' experience in the oil and gas industry. The engineer began his career at Petrobras, later acting as a consultant and business administrator and is full professor of the engineering program of the Veiga de Almeida University. 


Pré-Sal Petróleo's Fiscal Council

  • Alexandre Vidigal de Oliveira - Ministry of Mines and Energy
    Chief Secretary of Geology, Mining and Mineral Transformation of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and General Coordinator of Work Group-15 (Mining), of Mercosur. He is a Doctor of Law and has held the position of Federal Judge for almost 28 years, until January 2019, having worked in Brasilia, Mato Grosso, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul. He has extensive professional experience in the federal public sector, notably in the analysis and decision-making process of highly complex issues in the public-private relationship.
  • Sergio Henrique Lopes de Sousa - Ministry of Mines and Energy
    Chief Advisor of the Special Internal Control Office of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Graduated in Naval Sciences from the Naval School, with specialization in International Management and MBA in Business Management from the COPPEAD/UFRJ Institute; Master in Production Engineering from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and Ph.D. in Naval Sciences, School of Naval Warfare. Captain of the Sea and War (RM1) of the Navy Intendant Corps, in addition to serving as Director and Deputy Director of Administrative Units, for some 37 years in the Active Service of the Navy, he performed various activities related to budget planning and execution. and financial, logistics and internal control.
  • Fabiano Maia Pereira - Ministry of Finance
    An undergraduate in Economy through the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, having a master''s degree in Economy from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a doctorate in Economy through the University of Brasília. He is currently a federal auditor of finances and control of the National Treasury Department. Experienced in the area of Economy, with specialization in macro-economy and finances.
